I have a fun, gentle & caring teaching philosophy, using positive motivation, compassion, patience and persistence. I’m keenly aware of each student’s comfort zone. I’m experience with young children, stroke development, advanced stroke technique, fitness swimming and fearful swimmers. By meeting the individual needs of each student, my goal is to develop swimmers who are not just safe in the water, but love the water.

I have over 30 years of experience in aquatics, including: competitive swimming, life guarding, coaching and teaching. I started competitively swimming at age five and continued on my love of the water throughout high school, as captain of the varsity swim team. I continued to swim at the collegiate level, for an Olympic world record swimmer.
I ensure optimal water safety and teach aquatic excellence by challenging them to reach their full potential in an energetic and caring way. I believe there is a swimmer in every child!
